Steps Of A Hesitating Lolita

Steps? It's an Outfit-Timeline! But why hesitating?
For one thing I am greedy, when it comes to clothes, so I delay many expensive purchases like outerwear. HA. Who likes to bundle up on a cold winter day anyway?
For another thing I lost the confidence in being fitted for Lolita during my last school year.
This post is about the mistakes I made, especially those typical for beginners and my fight with accessory- It tends to flee my outifts.

Let's Begin!
With my first attempt I had the typical Problem:  'I want to wear Lolita, but don't know where to buy it' - So it became something else. And thus this was created. At least it was fun to shop for it.
I wore it for the 'Leipziger Buchmesse' a convention for books and also Manga.
(Strange and gothicy thing?)

After entering the local Lolita-Group with a dear friend and attempting the meet-ups, I learnt a whole lot about the fashion. The more sophisticated girls had (and still have) tons of incredibly useful tips.
One of the girls started up a collective order at F+F:

I got this dress and the petticoat, which by the way is still my only one, there never was the need for another petti.
As you can see in the picture above, I wore no accessory apart from the green bow in my hair
(the photo does only show a small part of it). I combined it with plain, warm, black tights and black demonia shoes, the pair I also wear in the first picture.
A very boring Coordination.

Then came a time while ordering some basics and boring coordinates, which differ little from the above.
The next was a Sweet Lolita coordination which was completely put together by the lovely girls of the Franconian Princesses (which is how the group calls itself) for my birthday.

I loved it, but figured out soon after, that this substyle is not suited for me.
Despite it pushed me in the right direction.

Of course these examples were followed by others, but I must admit that there was hardly any development.

So what did we learn? For beginner Lolitas I highly recommend:
Join a local group or some online communities!

Or read some great Lolita blogs, for example this one:
